Überchic PR Bar was founded on June 11, 2010, by two recent college graduates who majored in Journalism and Communication. The two graduates had an ambition to make an impact within the communications industry. Both had an idea at an early age that they did not want to fit in with the working employee status quo. With having unique talents and style they knew that a public relations company would be a perfect channel to express their aspirations on their own terms. While doing research of various PR firms within the New York area it came to their attention that there was a lack of diversity among PR firm owners, specifically with African American women. They wanted to add more diversity with their own unique twist. With this idea in mind both came together expressing their visions, ultimately this led towards the creation of a PR Firm and Überchic PR was born.
